The Student Health Services Department in Partnership with families, district staff and community work to facilitate the learning process through assisting students with the readiness to learn, and promoting student wellness.
The program includes services which encourage early detection of health problems and prevention through health education and a positive environment for learning
The district employs six registered nurses to assist our students with health care concerns and needs while they are at school. All of our nurses work with both general education students and our students with special needs. The Office of School and Family Support also hires, trains, and makes available to our nurses, a number of health screeners to help administer annual vision and hearing screenings to our student population. The Health Services Committee meets once a month to discuss issues that involve student health.
