Hi, my name is Carol Rasmussen and I've been teaching at Olalla for over twenty years. I wouldn't want to be at any other school. My daughter Dana and my son Shaun both attended Olalla from kindergarten through sixth grade. I love teaching first grade because I want each student to start out loving school, and I get to be part of the amazing learning that takes place during this formative year. I live in Olalla with my husband Carl, my two cats, Lily and Jasmine, and our great dane, Titus. I have a large garden where I grow vegetables and dahlias. In my spare time I like to beach comb for agates, petrified wood, moonstones, shells and beach glass. I also enjoy reading, kayaking, swimming, and going out in our boat. I guess you can tell I love being around water. I am the proud grandmother of one grandson and three granddaughters. They vary in age from one year to four years. They are delightful to spend time with and I love watching them grow and learn. The two oldest ones are in co-op preschools this year which is very exciting for me. | ||||
