You will be researching a Washington State History Topic chosen from Chapters 6,7,8, and 10.  You must choose a project option and include all the requirements below in a presentation. 

 

FIRST STEP:   CHOOSE ONE PRESENTATION OPTION BELOW.  MUST INCLUDE ALL REQUIREMENTS AND ANY ADDITIONAL STEPS.

        1) Poster: On large poster board or tri board. Minimum of 7 pictures/drawing/symbols, and include a decorated border. Bibliography on back. (Class work includes gathering information and creation of poster)

SECOND STEP:   

REQUIREMENTS (final draft form):  ALL THESE MUST BE INCLUDED IN YOUR PROJECT PRESENTATION

  1. Title, Name, Date, Period   
  2. Historical Connection:  A minimum of 4 paragraphs of 7 to 12 sentences stating:

ü  a historical question developed about your topic,

ü  reasons in your own words supporting your position (answer) to your question, and

ü  evidence and examples to support your answer and reasons using at least one primary source and one secondary source.  The primary source and secondary sources must be mentioned in your paragraphs thru either an explanation or using quotes.

ü  Connection on why studying this historical question helps us to understand current events and issues

3.       Location/Physical Representation of your topic  EX:  a map of the area or places OR captions and pictures of places associated with your topic created by you.

4         Class participation activity:  some activity (class quiz at end of presentation, crossword puzzle for them to fill out while you present, physical inclusion in your presentation, a graphic organizer for them to fill in during the presentation, etc. ____________________________________________________________

5         Personal Commentary:  Explain in a minimum of 2 paragraphs, your topics connection and its importance to your personal future.

6         Section of Fun facts or bulleted information SUMMARIZING your topic (At least 15 different facts)   

7         Bibliography (Minimum of 3 sources – at least 1 primary and 2 secondary)

8         Neat, Quality Work in YOUR OWN WORDS.  PLAGERISM IS NOT ALLOWED AND WILL RESULT IN A FAILING GRADE.  Typed or printed in blue or black ink. No visible pencil in final.

9         Presentation with good voice projection, practiced, and clear and organized
