Phonics

Identify letters that are vowels and letters that are consonants.
 
Long and Short Vowels: know shore and long vowel sound for each vowel.
 
"Bossy e"/"Silent e": a-e (ex: same), i-e (ex: slime), o-e (ex: toe), u-e (ex: glue), e-e (ex: needle)  
Common long vowel convention: y (ex: fly, try, and cry)

Math Fact Fluency
 
First Trimester: Count on 1 math facts (ex: 2+1=3)
                           Count on 2 math facts (ex: 3+2=5)
                           Count on 0 math facts (ex: 5+0=5)
Second Trimester:  Count on 3 math facts (ex: 4+3=7)
                                Double math facts (ex: 3+3=6)
                                Double plus one facts (ex: 3+4=7)      *If you know that 3+3=6 then you know that 3+4=7 because it is only one more.
 
Third Trimester: Double plus two facts (ex: 6+8=14)
*If you know that 3+3=6 then you know that 3+4=7 because it is only one more.
                            Combos of ten facts (ex: 6+9=15)
*If you know that 6+4=10 than you know that 6+9=15 because you just add five more.
