Students, I'm looking forward to getting to know each of you and the opportunity to teach and learn with all of you. Get ready to read and write and learn everyday! Parents, I appreciate and encourage your involvement and support. I will use this website to post the daily classroom agenda, classroom assignments and assessments, grading expectations, and due dates. Our mission - The Language Arts Deparment at John Sedgwick Junior High will instruct, model, and encourage students to be successful, confident readers and writers who can transfer their skills, knowledge, and creativity to real life. The department will develop instructional strategies and processes that train/prepare/educate students to read for enjoyment and understanding, think critically, communicate openly and effectively, and write successfully for a variety of purposes. | |
