Finish Classroom Procedures, Pre-assessment for History, Introduction to textbook and map skills review 

Students also started and finished a pre-assessment teaching tool. 
Sept 13/14 - 1st History Notebook write (binder stays in class).  If absent, prompt:  Why history class?  Connect your answer to current events you are familiar with.  Use examples and details to support your answer.
 
Sept 14 -  Friday - Students wrote a entry task response to the quote by Winston Churchill "Those who fail to learn from history, are doomed to repeat it".  They shared them with class and then followed up with a scavenger hunt activity of the Ancient World textbook
Some students need to return Silver Team handbook signature sheet.  If a copy is needed, it is located on the attachment page of website.  For History, they need a binder to keep in class with 4 separation folders inside.
Students need to take home and keep home their copy of the Ancient World textbook.  We will collect them before Christmas Break.

October 9th thru 12No homework this week. On Tuesday, students graded with me the Comparision Chart.  If they did not finish, they had to copy in red ink. Students also took a Formative Assessment quiz of the information that we studied and learned all last week comparing early greece history to the golden age of greece.  During the rest of the week, students researched a group city-state within class and will present on Monday.  Some students may come home and research more on their own.Some students do not have Maps of Greece in and are missing assignments.  This would be a good week to catch up.
