moneyWant to go to college, but need some help with expenses? College scholarships and grants can help you attain your education dreams!

A variety of college scholarships and grants are available to South Kitsap School District students throughout the year. Scholarships are posted on the scholarship board in the Guidance Office at SKHS. There will be approximately 150 scholarships posted through out the school year. Students are advised to check the scholarship board at least once a week for new postings.

FOR STUDENTS-how to request a scholarship application:
To request a scholarship application form, come into the Counseling Office at SKHS and complete the pink scholarship application request form.
Students may check the scholarship basket for their request (usually within two days) to receive the scholarship application.

Harvard announces free tuition: 
Harvard University announced recently that from now on undergraduate students from low-income families will pay no tuition. If you know of a family earning less than $40,000 a year with an honor student graduating from high school soon, Harvard University wants to pay the tuition. To find out more about Harvard offering free tuition for families making less than $40,000 a year visit Harvard's financial aid website at: http://www.fao.fas.harvard.edu/ or call the school's financial aid office at (617) 495-1581.
 
 
Maynard Lundberg 2013
The Maynard Lundberg Foundation was established in 1983 by the Port Orchard Rotary Club to honor Maynard’s 39 years of dedicated service as a valued school administrator and coach. The scholarship amount is $4,000, paid in four equal installments, based upon minimum grade point accumulative eligibility of 3.0. Students wishing to apply should obtain an application from the guidance office. Applications are available March 1. Deadline is May 1 , 2013.
 
 
 
Financial aid is available for students who are eligible to participate in the free and reduced-price lunch program.
