There is a voluntary program this year to register the electronic devices your students are bringing to school with the school resource officer. This program will work for cell phones, digital cameras, MP3 players, Sony PSP, or similar devices. By recording the make, model, serial number, and your name with the officer, this gives him the ability to enter the item into the National Crime Information Center. If any of these are stolen, they can be returned to you when and if found. You may register your items by finding the deputy at lunch or in his office, upstairs in the counseling area. He needs to record the make, model, serial number, a brief description, and your name. If he is unavailable, you may leave the information with the upstairs office staff to be placed in the deputy's box.
