South Kitsap High School Dress Code

Dress CodeTo ensure that student dress and grooming does not interfere with the learning environment at South Kitsap High School, we appreciate your support in helping us by following the dress code below:

State Health Regulations require wearing shoes in public buildings.

Students are asked to wear clothing that is neat, clean, and suitable for school. Clothing which interferes with or distracts from the educational process, or depicts something illegal or lewd, is unacceptable.

The following are not acceptable:
- visible undergarments
- cleavage
- tank tops
- see-through garments
- bare midriffs
- bare shoulders
- bare backs
- blankets
Chains and spikes cannot be worn or carried at school. If an administrator determines that attire is inappropriate to preserve the health, safety, and welfare of the school environment, students may be asked to change clothing or may be sent home.  Failure to comply will result in further discipline.

Classroom teachers may require removal of hats/head covers in the classroom.  This decision is supported by administration.
