My name is Naomi Andersen and I have been a part of the Discovery experience since 1998.  I earned a Master's in Teaching from the Evergreen State College in 1996.  I am married and have two grown children.  In 1996 my family and I designed, created blueprints, and (with the help of extended Andersen family) built our family home.  

 

Every year at Discovery is a new challenge and adventure.  Last year was my first year teaching Exploring Art and this year will be my first year teaching Washington State History.  I love learning with my students.  My students at Discovery inspire me as they overcome their personal obstacles to achieve a high school diploma.
