Schedules

School start times vary from school to school, so listen carefully to the start times as indicated by AESOP and also refer to the bell schedule in the handbook.
 
  • All substitutes are to report directly to the school office to sign in. 
  • You can get the daily schedule, a copy of school rules, and often the lesson plan from the
    office professional. Be sure to return all materials at the end of the day.
  • Please do not accept a long-term assignment if you will not be able to remain in the assignment.  It is very disrupting for students to have an additional substitute assigned to their class.  
  • Guest teachers and classified substitutes are expected to maintain the same ethical standards as regular employees.  Feel free to discuss any problems or concerns with the building principal or Personnel Office.
  • A guest teacher or classified substitute is not allowed to dispense medication.  Call the school office and they will refer this action to an authorized person.
  • Should problems or questionable situations appear refer to the building administrator for action.
Inclement Weather
In anticipation of possible bad weather, we thought it would be helpful to list a few resources which maintain up-to-date information regarding school closures or late starts.  It is a challenging task to make decisions regarding the weather and probable changes in school schedules.  South Kitsap School District officials try to make these decisions by 5:30 am.  Listed below are resources available through television, radio or the internet.  Of special note:  One can register with School Report for automatic email messages and/or cell phone messages that are sent out as soon as the district posts its decision to the Public Emergency Communications System (you can also sign up for multiple school districts).
