The SKSD Community Education Program is designed to meet the lifelong learning needs of our community through exciting enrichment programs and workshops for all ages.

Wire Ring Making @ Sidney Glen Elementary
Tuesdays, Feb. 4  to Feb. 18 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Students will learn the basic techniques needed to create one or three stone wire rings. Example 1 and example 2. Supply list
No experience necessary. Ages 16 and up. 3 day course.

Glass Etching @ Sidney Glen Elementary   
Thursdays, Feb. 6 to Feb. 13 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Students will learn techniques for etching glass using Armoretch. Supply list. No experience necessary. Ages 16 and up.

Soda Can Jewelry Making @ Sidney Glen Elementary
Mondays, Feb. 3 - Feb. 24 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., no class Feb. 17
Create beautiful, one of a kind jewelry using re-purposed soda cans. Three classes in the course including an orientation and two classes of hands on instruction. No experience necessary. Ages 16 and up .
Example 1 and example 2 and supply list. Class fee $30 plus $10 supply fee.

Beginning Karate for Kids @ Orchard Heights Elementary in Cafeteria
“Samurai” for kids 4 - 6 years old. Tuesdays, Feb. 11 to March 4 from 6:00 – 6:30 p.m.
“Karate” for kids 7 – 12 years old. Tuesdays, Feb. 11 to March 4 from 6:30 – 7:15 p.m.
Kids will learn basic techniques and body control in this fun and fast introduction to Karate. We will discuss successful attitudes for living such as: courage, never giving up, mastery, positive outlook, and teamwork.
No uniform needed. Class Fee: $30 (4 classes). Make check payable to: UKO Karate.
