Healthy Youth Survey

Next week students across the state will be taking part in the “Healthy Youth Survey”.  This totally anonymous survey is given every other year so we might better understand general trends in student attitudes and behaviors relevant to personal safety and health.  South Kitsap School District has elected to use the version of the survey that does not address sexual behavior.

Our 6th, 8th, 10th and 12th graders will take the survey during specific on-campus classes.  We want to make you aware of the survey and give you a chance to look it over.

Your child may have already brought home from school a description of the survey.  If not, click here to access that document online.

There are copies of the survey in our office.  Just stop in and ask Sandy to let you see it.

Parents have the right to opt their child out of the survey for any reason. (Students have the right to opt themselves out as well.) Contact your consulting teacher if you prefer that your child not take the survey or if you have any questions.

Below is the schedule on which students will take the survey.  The survey should take about 45 minutes to complete.

10th and 12th graders

  • Wednesday, October 20th at 1:00 or 2:15 in Science Lab.
    • Students who opt out need not attend, however….
      • We’ll have pizza afterwards.  Please RSVP Mr. T if you’re sophomore or senior will attend.  That will help us to order the proper number of pizzas.  laferrit@skitsap.wednet.edu
