A quick update:
 
We finished up our voice packet and talked about how voice adds personality to our piece of writing. We will start working on a letter to next year's teacher tomorrow...the focus is to let next year's teacher get to know us by using voice in our writing. I am excited to see what they come up with. We are just about finished with reading assessments. I am so proud of the growth the kiddos have made. They have worked so hard to become a well rounded reader (sounds nice, decodes quickly, understands what they've read).
 
We finished up our Medieval characters today. I'll have to take pictures of them...the children really did put a lot of thought into them. The details are amazing. It's so nice to to see how creative they can be...they've really had to stretch their thinking. Our Empire will come under siege soon...I wonder how we'll pull together to defend our castle...
