Fathoms O' Fun Scholarship Program
Fathoms O' Fun is seeking individuals for the Junior Royalty Scholarship Program. This is a scholarship opportunity for all students, male and female, grades 7-9. The program offers selected Kitsap County youth a college scholarship, public speaking opportunities, and enhanced awareness of the local community. This is a great opportunity to start earning scholarship money for college. See Mr. Fogel or Mrs. Little in the Counseling Office for more information and an application.

Current 9th grade students that will be sophomores at SKHS for the 2015-16 school year will registering for their next year classes in February.
Students will attend a registration presentation in their World History classes on Feb. 10. Registration forms will be distributed at this presentation. Completed forms will be picked up in World History classes on Feb. 25.
Also mark your calendars for Parent Night at the SKHS auditorium @ 6:00pm on Feb. 12.
Dress Code Policy at Marcus Whitman
Please take a moment to review our dress code policy. Students whose clothing does not comply with dress code will be asked to change clothes or will be sent home. Failure to comply will result in further discipline. Administrators reserve the right to deem attire inappropriate to preserve the health, safety, and welfare of the school environment.

Why College Bound?
8th Graders Forms Need to be Submitted by June 30, 2015!
Is it not just for college – this is a scholarship that will pay for any educational or training costs that our students on free/reduced lunch may need after graduation.
For example – to be a mechanic or nursing assistant, training is required. Having this College Bound promise will pay for the training or education that your son or daughter would need to begin in the workplace. There is a list of technical and training programs, as well as colleges, available. For more info, check out the College Bound website.
The application takes less than 10 minutes to complete.

Apple Health for Kids is a Washington State Initiative aimed at streamlining applications for children's healthcare coverage. Many Washington children are still uncovered, even though they are eligible. Click on the link below for more information.
