 Washington State 2014 Healthy
Youth Survey

Our district is participating in the Washington State 2014 Healthy Youth Survey during the week of October 13th - 17th.
The Healthy Youth survey includes questions related to physical activity and diet, unintentional and intentional injury, substance use, risk and protective factors, and access to school-based services.  Survey results are used by schools, communities and state agencies to plan programs to support our youth and reduce their risks.
The Healthy Youth Survey is given to students in grades 6,8,10 an 12 across Washington State.
Participation in the survey is voluntary and the students' answers are anonymous.
Please read the Parent and Student Notification flyer for more information about the Healthy Youth Survey or go to:

https://www.askhys.net/Docs/HYS%202014%20Parent%20flyer%20NO%20sex%203-5-2014.pdf

School hours: 8:35 a.m.-3:10 p.m.
Late start Wednesday 9:20 a.m.

If your student eats breakfast at school, they may arrive 1/2 hour early.  Please do not let your child arrive earlier as we do not have proper supervision to ensure your child's safety.

lunch

Did you know you need to
re-apply every school year for free/reduced meals?
Orchard Heights
  encourages
you to check whether your students qualify for the free or reduced meals program. Our Title I federal funding is determined by free and reduced lunch counts, so whether or not your child will actually eat at school your support in securing these valuable dollars is appreciated. Families with students who are eligible for free or reduced lunches may also benefit from other programs such as free tutoring & higher education scholarships.
